The Revista Brasileira de Segurança Pública Announces a New Selection Process for Reviewers
Dear readers, authors and contributors to the Revista Brasileira de Segurança Pública,
It is with great pleasure that we announce an important change in our reviewer selection process. With the aim of strengthening the quality of the reviews and ensuring greater alignment with the journal's topics of interest, from now on to become a reviewer for the Revista Brasileira de Segurança Pública, interested parties must follow a new procedure, which consists of sending an e-mail to our editorial team with the necessary information to assess their qualifications and areas of interest for evaluation.
How to become a referee:
1. Register as a Reader or Author:
Initially, those interested should register as readers or authors with our journal, depending on their activities and interests.
2. Sending an e-mail:
After registering, those interested should send an e-mail to the editorial team of Revista Brasileira de Segurança Pública (revista@forumseguranca.org.br) with the following information:
- Your qualifications, including academic background, institutional affiliation and relevant experience in the area of public security.
- Areas of interest for evaluating articles and papers submitted to the journal.
- Any other relevant information that may contribute to the assessment of your suitability as a referee.
- ORCID curriculum vitae and username for registration on the RBSP platform
3. Evaluation by the Editorial Team:
Our editorial team will carefully review the emails received and, if deemed appropriate, assign the role of reviewer to selected users.
We believe that this change in the reviewer selection process will help to further improve the quality of the reviews carried out in our journal, ensuring that the reviewers have competence and expertise in areas related to public security.

Please note that in order to be a reviewer of an RBSP article, you must hold a doctorate or be studying for a doctorate in an area relevant to the scope of RBSP.
