MUDANÇA NO PERFIL DO FENÔMENO CRIMINAL CONTRA O PATRIMÔNIO EM MINAS GERAIS NO PERÍODO DE 2018 A 2023

O objetivo do trabalho é analisar a dinâmica da criminalidade contra o patrimônio no período de 2018 a 2023, de modo a identificar se houve uma mudança do uso de violência ou grave ameaça (roubo) para modalidade de crimes em ambiente virtual em Minas Gerais. Foi utilizado suporte teórico da criminologia ambiental como adaptação para análise explicativa do fenômeno no ambiente online. A fonte de dados utilizada foram os dados oficiais de crimes contra o patrimônio no período de março de 2018 a março de 2023. Os resultados indicam que houve a redução do crime de roubo (decréscimo de 69%) em Minas Gerais no período de 2018 a 2023. Entretanto, considerando a teoria das brechas, observa-se que houve uma mudança quantitativa no perfil dos crimes contra o patrimônio, com destaque para o aumento de 453% para o crime de estelionato. Verificando-se o meio utilizado para a prática criminosa, houve um aumento do meio eletrônico em 1375%. Os dados empíricos corroboram a aplicação das teorias da criminologia ambiental para o estudo dos crimes em ambiente virtual.
