Segurança no campus: um breve levantamento sobre as políticas de segurança na USP e em universidades estrangeiras

O debate sobre a segurança no principal campus da USP se intensificou após eventos que colocaram em questão a gestão da segurança, a atuação da Guarda Universitária e a presença de policiamento ostensivo no local. Com base em levan-tamento nos websites oficiais de quatro universidades, buscamos informações sobre como estas instituições lidam com o tema da segurança. Os resultados apontam que, apesar das especificidades legais, institucionais e de contexto, os pro-blemas de segurança nos campi são muito semelhantes e suas resoluções refletem os preceitos das políticas públicas de segurança locais. Guardadas as diferenças, as experiências apresentadas podem contribuir para a reflexão sobre programas de segurança que combinem a prevenção de crimes, preservação do patrimônio público e a garantia das liberdades civis.Downloads
