Community school patrol performance in the municipality of ponta grossa in the light of the bioecological theory of human development of Urie Bronfenbrenner

Based on community policing, the Community School Patrol - PEC is a program developed in the State of Paraná that operates in an integrated manner with the school environment and in conjunction with communities in several municipalities in the state, including the municipality of Ponta Grossa. Considering the characteristics of this program, this article aims to analyze its performance in the municipality of Ponta Grossa, in the light of the Bioecological Theory. To this end, a literature review was carried out on the said theory and a brief characterization of the PEC and, in the sequence, documentary data from Ponta Grossa PEC-PG from 2018 and 2019 were analyzed. The results indicate a set of educational actions developed in articulation with schools and interactively with the local community, which confirms the police action at the level of the students 'mesosystem and opens a space for interventions that consider the students' human development demands, surpassing the traditional standard of police action.
