Abstract

Occupational stress and health problems are prevalent among military police officers, directly impacting their professional performance and quality of life. This study examines how nutritional habits, physical activity, body mass index (BMI), and perceived stress vary among military police officers in operational and administrative services, considering both sexes. The research contributes to the literature by correlating these lifestyle indicators with the military professional environment. Data were collected from military police officers in a Brazilian federal unit, using the Mann-Whitney U test for comparative analysis and the Pearson correlation coefficient for correlational study. The study reveals significant correlations between nutritional habits, physical activity, BMI, and perceived stress, with relevant implications for the formulation of health policies and personnel management in the military police.
