Resumen

El estrés ocupacional y los problemas de salud son prevalentes entre los policías militares, impactando directamente en su desempeño profesional y calidad de vida. Este estudio examina cómo los hábitos nutricionales, la actividad física, el índice de masa corporal (IMC) y el estrés percibido varían entre los policías militares en servicios operativos y administrativos, considerando ambos sexos. La investigación contribuye a la literatura correlacionando estos indicadores de estilo de vida con el entorno profesional militar. Se recopilaron datos de policías militares de una unidad federal brasileña, utilizando la prueba U de Mann-Whitney para análisis comparativo y el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson para estudio correlacional. El estudio revela correlaciones significativas entre hábitos nutricionales, actividad física, IMC y estrés percibido, con implicaciones relevantes para la formulación de políticas de salud y gestión de personal en la policía militar.
