The study presents an integrative review of the literature, with the aim of finding out, at a global level, how interventions to promote and prevent mental health have been proposed and conducted with public security professionals. A search was carried out in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, considering recent studies (2018-2022) published in the areas of management, psychology and social sciences. The content of the articles was categorized in order to identify the types of interventions carried out, the timing of the intervention, the obstacles and facilitators to implementation and access for the participation of professionals, as well as the approaches that theoretically underpinned the interventions' design and implementation. The results contribute to promoting reflection on primary, secondary and tertiary interventions related to psychosocial processes (at individual and organizational levels) and the strategies used, and are useful for elucidating psychosocial risk and protective factors, which can be key factors in the development and success of intervention programs and practices aimed at the mental health of the target public. In this sense, contributions and suggestions for future studies and practices are presented in order to guide and optimize investments.
