INTERVENCIONES EN MATERIA DE PROMOCIÓN Y PREVENCIÓN DE LA SALUD MENTAL ENTRE LOS PROFESIONALES DE LA SEGURIDAD PÚBLICA

Resumen

El estudio presenta una revisión integradora de la literatura, con el objetivo de conocer, a nivel global, cómo se han propuesto y llevado a cabo las intervenciones de promoción y prevención de la salud mental con los profesionales de la seguridad pública (PSP). Se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos Scopus y Web of Science, considerando estudios recientes (2018-2022) publicados en las áreas de Gestión, Psicología y Ciencias Sociales. Los contenidos de los artículos se categorizaron con el fin de identificar los tipos de intervenciones realizadas, el momento de la intervención, los obstáculos y facilitadores de la implementación y el acceso a la participación de los profesionales, así como los enfoques que sustentaron teóricamente el diseño y la realización de las intervenciones. Los resultados contribuyen a promover reflexiones sobre las intervenciones primarias, secundarias y terciarias relacionadas con los procesos psicosociales (a nivel individual y organizacional) y sobre las estrategias utilizadas, siendo útiles para dilucidar los factores psicosociales de riesgo y protección, que pueden ser factores clave para el desarrollo y el éxito de los programas y prácticas de intervención orientados a la salud mental del público objetivo. En este sentido, se presentan contribuciones y sugerencias para futuros estudios y prácticas, con el fin de orientar y optimizar las inversiones.
